Today we sang the third verse of God of Grace and God of Glory in church. Amazing how words penned in 1930 can still be a powerful prayer for the church today:
Cure Thy children’s warring madness,
Bend our pride to Thy control.
Shame our wanton selfish gladness,
Rich in things and poor in soul.
Grant us wisdom, grant us courage,
Lest we miss Thy kingdom’s goal,
Lest we miss Thy kingdom’s goal.
Bend our pride to Thy control.
Shame our wanton selfish gladness,
Rich in things and poor in soul.
Grant us wisdom, grant us courage,
Lest we miss Thy kingdom’s goal,
Lest we miss Thy kingdom’s goal.

I've considered having some sort of "daily theme" before too but I guess my blog is a little to sporadic for daily themes. Who know what will happen on what day! haha
I'd love to be one of your "Books of the Moment" and perhaps even one of your blogs.
