Song for Sunday: He watches me...

His Eye Is On The Sparrow
by Civilla D. Martin

Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heav’n and home,
When Jesus is my portion? My constant Friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

“Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

"Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." Luke 12:6-7

Keep praying for Stellan, things are not looking very good.

Hi, I just spent the majority of my morning reading through the "prayer for unbelievers" discussion on MckMama's forum. I just wanted to let you know I really respect everything you shared on there and the manner in which you did it. As a fellow Chirstian, I am so thankful for the loving manner in which you went about sharing everything. The words you said really reflected Christ's attitude. I sometimes get so frustrated in the manner that many Christians go about "preaching" to others, but I was so encouraged to see the loving, respectful way that you did it. Just wanted to let you know I appreciate it!

Also, I saw the picture of your two adorable little girls on your sidebar. They're precious! My two little foster sisters (ages 4 and 2) have those same swimsuits in green. so cute!

I, too, am praying for Stellan today.

Once again, thanks for being such a great example of Christ.
