Although it was a little lonely, I actually enjoyed having the house to myself most of the time. And they enjoyed their visit. One day, they went into DC to the Air & Space museum at the Smithsonian and ran around the Mall.

Thanksgiving, part 1
This year, I stayed behind while the rest of the family went to visit my husband's family in Northern Virginia. It was strange not celebrating Thanksgiving with them, and I missed seeing everyone, but we waited too long to find a kennel/dogsitter and were stuck!
Although it was a little lonely, I actually enjoyed having the house to myself most of the time. And they enjoyed their visit. One day, they went into DC to the Air & Space museum at the Smithsonian and ran around the Mall.
